Op de subtiele helling van de Hondsrug na, is er in Groningen niet veel hoogteverschil. Om die reden spreekt mij dat in een andere stad altijd zo aan. De Roggestraat ligt aan de voet van een rivierduin waarop in de 12e eeuw de Bergkerk is gebouwd.
Except for the gentle slope of the Hondsrug there’s not much elevation in Groningen. That’s why this always appeals to me in another town. The Roggestraat is situated at the slope of a river dune on which in the 12th century the ‘Bergkerk’ was built.
